To those who work in Theaters, what happens when a showing has no tickets sold.
Hypothetically speaking, lets say a movie has a 12:30 showing. It's a movie that has been out for a bit, so any initial hype is long gone. If no one shows up for the 12:30 showing, does the movie still play, or does the "theater" just not "roll the tape" or whatever the 2019 tech term is.
This is just a pure curiosity question. I'm not basing it on any movie that is out now, or any past movies.
